Floor Flatness staff started delivering these services in 1993 on a large warehouse project in Rocklin, California for Hewlett Packard. The project required the ability to understand defined traffic testing. In addition, our team is well versed in random access floor flatness testing. Our division manager is considered an expert in floor flatness and has been called on to support projects throughout California. Testing is performed using the D-Meter (Allan Face Product) and including ASTM E1155 procedures and specification driven requirements.
Seismic investigations can include simple brick shear testing to full-scale investigations into material strengths like structural concrete, masonry walls, reinforcing steel and structural steel. The investigation can include documenting in-place material or extracting materials for in-depth destructive testing. Seismic investigations typically include field work, laboratory testing and the development of a final report. Hospital structural strengthening projects are the most common projects for the field investigations.
Code Compliance services include building officials, commercial inspectors, residential inspectors, along with mechanical, electrical, plumbing inspection services. We provide staff augmentation for jurisdictions and for developers where their projects are on the fast track. Being an extension of the jurisdiction is critical for delivering the required inspections and meeting code requirements. We also provide support services like plan review, administrative staff support, plan checkers and building department engineers.
